Hello, Matiz753.

Thank you for posting on the Intel Community Support forums.

Additionally to what AlHill mentioned, there have been some false positives or alerts related to the system having the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management software but no Optane Memory drive to be managed, so an error is triggered due to the tool not finding valid disk pairs.

You can open the Intel Optane Memory and Storage Management in your system and check if this is the case, and also review if there are any alerts coming from the SSD.

If this is not an Intel SSD, my recommendation is to disable the notifications from the Optane tool and check your SSD health using the tools provided by the SSD manufacturer, or monitor the overall system health using the tools provided by the system manufacturer.

If I can help you in any way, or you have any questions or concerns, please let me know, and I will follow up on August 18th in case you need additional time.

Best regards,

If you have a disk that is about to fail, you should replace it.   Take your notebook to a repair shop and have the disk replaced.

I do not understand, from where you know the disk is damaged? and this is not a bug or something? becuse this notebook was in repair service 3-4 months ago and they change motherboard, this communication is normal? (from windows)

I never said the disk was damaged.   I said "If you have a disk that is about to fail, you should replace it.  "

If the brake failure light comes on in your car, it could be a defective sensor, or it could be a serious issue with your brakes.

Look, what you do is your choice.  Ignore the warning, or not.  But, do not come here asking for advice only to argue and ignore the advice.

Hello, Matiz753.

If that is the case, I'd say there are no problems and you can just ignore it, but you can check the website of the SSD manufacturer for their tools to monitor SSD health just to be on the safe side, for example, in case this is a Samsung drive:

Regarding the notifications, this can be done from the settings menu:

- Start Menu > Settings > System > Notifications and Actions > Scroll down to the Optane Management App and toggle notifications off

If there is anything else, just let me know, and I will follow up on August 18th in case you want to keep the thread open.

Hello, @Matiz753.

This post is just to follow up on this support thread.

I wanted to confirm if everything is working fine, and also if you were able to Turn the notification Off with the steps I shared or check the SSD using the tools from the manufacturer.

If I can help you with anything else, please let me know; I will follow up again on August 23rd before closing the thread.

Best regards

Hello, Matiz753.

This message is to inform you about the closure of this support thread regarding the error message coming from the Optane Management software.

We previously shared it is possible the message is a false alarm due to the system not having valid disk pairs for Optane Memory, and recommended to check the SSD using the tools provided by the manufacturer to the drive's health just in case; this along disabling the notifications from that software.

The thread will be closed right now and it will no longer be monitored by Intel support. If you require any type of assistance from Intel in the future, please open a new thread, or contact us using any of the available support methods:
