Hi,
I am currently having a discussion about how many volts a 2.5'' SSD must be able to withstand. Regarding the Intel "developer_specs_ATX12V_1_3dg" chapter 3.2.1 the allowed max voltage for +5VDC is max +5.25V. However in chapter 3.4.1 Over-voltage Protection it says, "The supply shall provide latchmode over-voltage protection as defined in Table 14", and that is max 7.0V for the +5VDC rail.
How does Intel see this, do 2.5'' SSD's have to withstand 7.0V DC without interference to be used on ATX board?
Or are there 2.5'' Intel SSD's that are specified up to 7.0V, so that they can operate without hesitation on ATX power supplies?

Hello, JKR82.
Thank you for posting on the Intel community support forums.
I received your thread regarding this particular design question, and I will be reviewing this with you.
This forum is strictly for Optane SSD related questions, this is the reason why in your previous thread I tried to confirm what Intel product you were using.
Based on the document you shared (which I removed), this is related to SATA SSDs, but Intel®’s NAND Solid State Drive business was acquired by SK Hynix in November of 2020 and is now Solidigm™. Starting on October 1, 2022, all Technical and Warranty Support for NAND SSD products is provided directly by Solidigm™. Please contact Solidigm Support directly: https://www.solidigm.com/support.html.
Regarding the rest of your questions, there are really no details we can share, and I'm unable to identify a support group that can help you with that, my recommendation would be reviewing the other support forums or the developer community to check if you can find support there.

If you have a question specific to an Optane product, we can help with that, but if that is not the case I will close this thread on August 24th.

Hello, JKR82.
This message is to inform you about the closure of this support thread.
I previously recommended to contact Solidigm for any inquiries related to NAND SSD products and also recommended to review the other community sections as the inquiry in general is not related to a specific Intel Optane product, but I could not locate a specific subsection for it.
The thread will be closed right now, and it will no longer be monitored by Intel support, but if you require any type of assistance from Intel in the future, just open a new thread, or contact us using any of the available support methods:
