P4800X won’t change to 4kn with MAS CLI

I have a new P4800x SSDPE21K375GA01, latest firmware E2010650, and I can’t change from 512 to 4kn using the following command in Windows CLI:
intelmas start -intelssd 1 -nvmeformat lbaformat=3

I get “Status : This feature cannot be run with the current driver. “
But “The selected drive contains current firmware as of this tool release.” (2.5.0)

Ah bummer, but understood.

However I just tried the same with my P5800X in the same machine and got the same exact “This feature cannot be run with the current driver. “
Tried both LBAFormat 2 and 3 to no avail. The P5800X hasn’t reached EOIS yet; any thoughts there?
Again using the 2.5.0 Windows MAS CLI.

Hello FAL-Man,

Greetings !!

For Intel Optane DC SSD P5800X, what is the current NVM version of the SSD (Firmware version). Also What is the exact OS and Build? Can you try use the Intel FW update tool if the Firmware revision is not latest -

Also to check the available firmware versions :

Hello FAL-Man,

Greetings!!

To identify any limitations and possible alternatives, could you please check with any other available SSD (other than the P4800X and P5800X series) to see if the drive supports this feature.
