Hello caesar,
Thanks for posting in the Intel® community.
This issue could be related to a toolbox bug, the latest version of toolbox is 3.5.3. In the following link you can download the latest version:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/28036/Intel-Solid-State-Drive-Toolbox
Also you can use the following Diskpart* commands:
- List disk: Displays the list of attached disks and USB flash drives
- Sel disk (select disk): Selects the scope to work in
- Clean all: Removes partition and volume information from the selected device
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000022179/memory-and-storage.html
Hope this information helps, if you run into a problem let me know.
Best Regards,
Juan N.

Hello Ceasar,
Thanks for your update.
What OS are you using?
Have you tested the new version of toolbox?
Have you tested the diskpart procedure?
Additionally you can erase the SSDs from Disk management.
Please bare in mind you cannot perform a secure erase in the SSD where the OS is allocated.
When trying to do the secure erase in Toolbox, does it show you any error?
I will be waiting for your feedback.
Best Regards,
Juan N.

Hello Ceasar,
Do you have any additional encryption on the secondary drive?
When you do the Diskpart procedure, does the diskpart show any error? Can you please send me a screenshot of the diskpart when you do the secure erase procedure?
Have you attempted to format the disc through disk manager?
I will be waiting for your feedback.
Best Regards,
Juan N.

No errors, all is Ok!
I want to make secure erase. After format, clean.., speed is not the same like a secure erase. This disk was supposed to be dead … very good hardware from Intel! - 90% more live has this SSD !
Regards!

Some of the next versions of toollbox to contain a secure erase for win10 and 520 intel ssd i400 firmware.
For now, only under Linux I can do it.

Hello Ceasar,
As an update for you and the rest of the community having issues with the secure erase feature of tool box. I have found the following article:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000006011/memory-and-storage.html
Here you will find other alternatives for doing a secure erase.
Using toolbox in WIndows 10 and Windows 8/8.1 will not allow you to do the secure erase because the OS will block it.
Hope this information helps to clarify your questions.
Best Regards,
Juan N.
