wasn't able to find examples of isdct_config.xml on the web either.

isdct is 3.0.2.400-17.x86_64

Appreciate any help.

Hello Anotherjasonz,

CentOS* is not on the list of supported Linux* distributions for the Intel® SSD Data Center Tool.

However, in order to provide the best support possible we will download the latest release of CentOS* and test it in our lab. We will let you know how this turns out.

Additionally, we'll like to have some more information:

- What is the model of the Intel® Solid State Drive(s) you're working with?

- Do you get errors when you run any other commands?

Best regards.

Thanks, Charlie. AFAIK, CentOS7 is functionally equivalent to RHEL7.

The SSDs are S3710 & S3610.

I don't see other errors running commands like smartctl.

Thanks,

Jason

Hello Anotherjasonz,

We tested the Intel® SSD Data Center Tool with CentOS* 7 in our lab yesterday, but were unable to reproduce your issue.

Our recommendation in this case would be to remove ISDCT*, https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26221/Intel-SSD-Data-Center-Tool download a fresh copy and reinstall.

Please let us know whether this resolves your issue.

Best regards.

Hi Charlie,

Thanks for helping out.

Just realized that the tool may need root privilege and I was running it as a regular user. Just tried sudo, and that worked.

Thanks!

anotherjasonz,

That's correct, the tool does need to run with root privileges. Both sudo and su can be used.

We're glad we were able to help.

Best regards.
