Arria 10 Setup Issue on Ubuntu 16.04

Hello. I have been trying to set up my Arria 10 development kit using this guide:  https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/documentation/tgy1490191698959.html#wmh1490212984610

I am currently trying to program the flash memory using "aocl flash" command and this is the output I got.

When I run "aocl diagnose", I get a similar output to the one above.

When I installed the board packages using "aocl install", everything was successful and running "aoc -list-boards" does give the expected result.

I have a a10gx board and I am trying to set up OpenCL support on it. I am running on Ubuntu 16.04 and the board was connected through the micro USB JTAG cable to the host machine. What am I missing here?

I don't see the output you get from aocl diagnose/flash in your post, what error/message do you get? Also, what version of Quartus/AOC are you using?

Hello, Here is the text of the output I got from running "aocl diagnose" > aocl diagnose /root/intelFPGA_pro/18.1/hld/board/a10soc/arm32/bin/diagnose: 1: /root/intelFPGA_pro/18.1/hld/board/a10soc/arm32/bin/diagnose: Syntax error: word unexpected (expecting ")")
