Can't input text in nios2-terminal to send to the DE0 Nano board

Hello all,

I was trying the demonstrations from the DE0 Nano CD and noticed that when I have to input a choice (example:for DE0_Nano_QSYS_DEMO, input 0, 1, 2, or 3) in the Nios terminal, I can't do that. I ran the file 'test.bat' from 'DE0_Nano_QSYS_DEMO\demo_batch'.

However, I can do this in the Nios terminal from Nios SBT.

The same problem happened with other projects, even when manually entering Nios Command Shell and Nios terminal, and both on Win8.1 and Win7Ultimate(on VMware).

Do you have any idea why this is happening?
