I am using version 13.1 of Quartus II and this error keeps coming up. There is no where in my code that I can find this node instance or parameter. I did a bit of research to see if other people had similar problems and found this link:

It seems similar but every time I try to do something similar it still doesn't work for me.

Are you using some IP generated from a newer version Quartus?

They often change IP blocks between versions so they are no backwards compatible.

I a using an IP, I never checked what version it was using. That could be the problem.

Thanks

I checked today and the IP core works perfectly on Quartus II version 15. I was trying to do it on version 13.1.

So thank you, you were correct about my problem.
