While trying to install Quartus 23.1std I get the following error message:
$./QuartusSetup-23.1std.0.991-linux.run*
local variable is temporary but should be an argument
Aborted (core dumped)
The OS is Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS, kernel
Linux hwdev 6.5.0-35-generic #35~22.04.1-Ubuntu SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Tue May 7 09:00:52 UTC 2 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Anyone seen a similar problem?
Thanks,
Ilan

Not really sure what happens. Maybe there are some libraries needed, you can check this first.
"ldd QuartusSetup-23.1std.0.991-linux.run"
And make sure you have permission to execute the file, and you have access to the installation path.

Here are troubleshooting steps that you may check:
1. Before you download and install the software, please check that your machine system must meet minimum Hardware and Software Requirements. Ensure that your Operating System is supported. https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/programmable/683472/current/system-requirements-and-prerequisite.html
2. Check that the disk space is sufficient for the installation of the Intel FPGA software.
3. If you are running antivirus software, try to temporarily disable the antivirus software during the Quartus Prime software download and installation process.
4. Install with Administrator privileges.
5. Try to re-download the Quartus .tar installation package and install again. Alternatively, get the New Insaller to download and auto install the Quartus.
6. Check that the installation files .tar is not corrupted by checking the checksum.
