Fpga not seen

Running latest quartus prime pro and visual studio. I can compile my C code with oneAPI from VS only when the fpga is simulated, otherwise it crashes at runtime. This may be due to not seen fpga I guess. I have two boards attached, one via USB (DE1) surely ok as I see it from quartus (so why the intel compiler crashes? Maybe the USB can't be used as introduced latency?), the PCI (cyclone 10gx) has a green led on but I just installed (brand new) I can't see it in quartus under tools/programmer..

Hi @StefanoC,

Thank you for posting in Intel community forum and hope all is well.

If I understand the situation correctly you are facing issues on full compilation for oneAPI application?

Would you be able to share a screenshot/command that you compiled oneAPI code for simulation? (for us to better understand sample application and environment)

Assuming you are using the full system compilation flow, for that flow it requires a BSP for the hardware/full compilation, and unfortunately DE1 and C10GX are not in the supported hardware for oneAPI.

You may refer to the below links for BSP details:

- https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/developer/tools/oneapi/fpga.html (For non PAC product, please scroll to the 'Choose an FPGA Platform' section)

- https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/docs/oneapi/programming-guide/2023-1/fpga-bsps-and-boards.html (For PAC product)

Hope that clarify.
