Hi everyone,
I m a student and have recently taken up FPGAs.I have DE1 kit. i am facing a strange problem. After i have written ,compiled and simulated the program when i go to Programmer,it shows 'no hardware' even though the kit is connected to the computer through USB.I have checked the driver is working fine.My license has not expired. Can anyone please tell me what could be the possible reason for this? The kit is receiving power from the USB port and executing the company fed code. Thanks in advance SamarthLink Copied

Hi,
Do you mean that you see "no hardware" after pushing the "Hardware setup" and "add hardware"?- Mark as New

Getting the programmer working on a fresh computer is kind of finicky in my experience.
I go to www.altera.com, type "usb blaster" in the search box, follow the instructions for the Windows driver, curse and reboot things randomly, and then it magically starts working and works forever after. I think the key may be power cycling the board in addition to the computer. Good Luck.
