Hi,
Ive literally just started looking at Verilog as I am doing a module on it for uni. So done basic stuff like how to make counters, state machines, etc. I have been set a coursework and a mate and myself decided to do an alarm clock with a beep as the alarm sound. I don't have to worry about the display of time or anything like that, but I'm tasked with just trying to generate a beep sound. I have looked over the demonstrations in the CD as I think I have to look up things such as I2C and knowing whatever else there is to the audio codec, but still don't really have a clue. I have noticed a code for a beep from fpga4fun, but obviously that's not the end of it. So basically what I want to know, is what is it I need to look for and where do I start? Sorry if this seems as an annoyance, but help would be much appreciated. As code ain't really my strong point.Link Copied

I do not recommend to start with cores but learn basic electronic circuit structures and their behaviour instead.
