Intel ModelSim Starter Edition

Hi,

I am a student and want to use the Intel ModelSim FPGA starter edition.

Is there an upper limit for the number of HDL code lines that can be simulated?

Also, is there a way to get discounted access for the licensed full version for students ?

As stated by sstrell, ModelSim has been replaced by Questa Intel FPGA Edition. The Questa starter edition has no line limitations.

If you're interested, you can check the differences between the Questa starter and non-starter editions on the webpage link provided by sstrell.

That being said, you will need to obtain a no-cost license to launch the Questa Starter Edition software, unlike ModelSim, which does not require a license.

Please checkout this guide on how to setup the license.

I don't have the answer to your question regarding obtaining a discounted price license for Questa Intel FPGA Edition. However, you can check with an authorized distributor  or email fpgauniversity@intel.com. Hopefully, they will be able to assist you.
