Hi,
I just had this ticket routed to me today, can you share me your Quartus software version and your host PC environment?
Also, have you run any design using the previous Nios II? Are you familiar with the Nios II SBT eclipse tools?

Hi,
You may create your own hardware design for your board DE1-SoC, you may follow the steps here:
As your board need the Quartus Standard version, you may refer here when doing the BSP package:
Once you able to boot the Nios V and observe the hello world output, you may go further and check out the LED design from Nios II previously and edit your design accordingly to set the LED etc, for e.g this design:

I believe this problem is not solved. At least, the links you provided in your last post are not enough to help him to solve the problem.
there are some difference between Nios V and Nios II. In the Platform Designer, the connections will be different. He may be able to figure out how to make the qsys work. He may also be able to figure out how to make the LEDs ( or/and switches) work, but he will have great trouble to print "hello world".
Intel needs to provide tutorial materials for new versions of Quartus Prime. Since version 18.1, Intel did not do a good job as before (Altera).
At this moment, Version 24.1, the Platform Designer + Ashling RiscFree IDE is worse. 1. Installation won't give a entry for Ashling in the Start menu. 2. Someone may think by manually starting the Ashling it by using mouse clicking will be OK. No, it is not the case, the Ashling has to be started within the Nios V shell. 3. Again, needs to see the printf() result in the Jtag UART console. 3. Ashling RiscFree IDE cannot stop application running on the Nios system. This gives a lots of trouble during the application testing cycle, because has to power off-on the DE1 board, re-download the quartus project, and then run the nios v applicaition again.
