Hi Guys,

Extremely frustrated here. If anyone can help i would greatly appreciate it.

The megawizard crashes whenever i try to create the FIFO megafunction, regardless of settings; even with default no change.

By crash i mean, it stops responding, windows says "mega_ramq.exe stopped working". Screen shot attached.

i swear it happened with some others aswell, but can't seem to repeat on others atm.

what i've tried

1. Occurs in Qaurtus 11.

2. Tried using 10.1 that was still installed. Probem remained.

3. Uninstalled all altera products.

4. Re-installed 11. Probem remained.

5. Uninstalled 11.

6. Re-installed 10.1. Probem remained.

7. Googled the sh*t out of it and come up with nothing.

8. Sifted through the altera KB. nothing

my system

Win7 x64

Web editions of quartus.

Thanks for reply boys.

Thanks pancake, i'm running the web edition, perhaps thats the problem. I've logged a ticket with altera, but who knows what that will do if anything.

Having the same problem here, ever since I installed 11 (and then 11sp1 clean install). Still works fine in 9.1. Clean install of 11sp1 on a different machine works fine.

Haven't been able to figure out what's wrong, please post a followup if you make any progress on this.

I have the same problem.

I,m using windows 7 64 bit and Quartus II 11.1 Web Edition (32-Bit).

in safe mode (by pressing f8 key befor windows starting), this problem will be solved

In safe mode it is possible to created a FIFO mega function and add to the project and come back to normal window and running the project.

Thanks everybody.
