Hello,
I'm brand new to the world of FPGAs and hardware programming in general and quite frankly have no idea what I'm doing. I'm trying to follow a tutorial that came with my cyclone V development ad education board but I cant seem to find the megawizard plug in the tutorial uses. Is this feature no longer available in the latest version of quartus? What am I doing wrong? ThanksLink Copied

It has been replaced by the IP catalog. It's usually found on the far right of the Quartus window. If not, you can open it under view->Utility windows->IP catalog.
If you are using an older tutorial that refers to SOPC builder, you should probably ignore it. SOPC builder was replaced several years ago by QSYS. There are plenty of QSYS tutorials out there. If your board came with a physical CDROM, there might be a newer version available on the vendor's website.- Mark as New

Hi vmarzano,
For your information, Megawizard has been replaced by IP catalog starting from Quartus II 14.0. If you have design in Quartus 13.1 which used Megawizard, you can try archive the project and then reopen the archive in latest Quartus II version. Quartus II should help to perform auto-upgrade of your IPs to IP catalog format.
