Modelsim SE library compilation issues

Hello,

Tools: Quartus Prime Pro 20.2, Modelsim SE 2019.1, linux

I have tried to compile the simulation model files through the GUI using quartus_sh as indicated on this page: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/programmable/quartushelp/17.0/mapIdTopics/jka1465596847489.h...

This fails immediately with the error:
Error: Library compilation terminated due to error in compilation( ** Error: (vlib-35) Failed to create directory "xxx/QuartusPro20.2/modelsim/2019.1_SE-64/verilog_libs/altera_ver".
Info: File exists. (errno = EEXIST) )Error: Compilation was NOT successful. 1 errors, 0 warnings

Using Modelsim SE 10.6g goes further but fails for some fourteennm_atoms parts.

Does anybody know how these libraries should be compiled?

Thanks!

It would seem that Quartus/Modelsim version compatibility is quite limited (1 version). The information on this can be found in the Quartus software release notes (for example Q20.2: https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/rn/archives/rn-qts-pro-dev-...)
