Problem with MegaWizard Memory Compiler

Hello,

I am trying to compile a dual port RAM block using MegaWizard and use the M4K blocks for the memory. When I start a new project and simply create a RAM block and synthesize design, it uses the memory bits without any problems; outputting this compilation report: Total memory bits: 16,384 / 239,616 (%7)

But when I try to do the same thing in my existing project where I am trying to do some audio processing using the WM8731 audio codec, the memory is not used. According to the report after synthesis, 0 bit is used.

I couldn't figure out what the problem is.

Any help will be appreciated greatly.

Thanks in advance
