Hi,

Please assist, I am trying to run Quartus ll 8.0 (64 bit) on Windows Professional XP (X64 bit Edition). The project compilation falling with the following error:

Internal-Error: Sub-system MEM: File /qurtus/ccl/mem/mem_segment.cpp

Attempting to allocate 1179801184 bytes

I'm running Quartus on Core 2 Quad, ~6GByte of RAM computer.

Any idea?

You should file a mySupport service request when you get an internal error. You need to provide a Quartus project that will enable whoever debugs it to reproduce the error.

More than one thing can cause the same internal error message like this, but I know of someone having a similar error message related to TalkBack. You could try turning off TalkBack if you're not using anything that requires it to be on. For installations under Microsoft Windows, there is a shortcut to the TalkBack setup on the Windows Start menu.
