Quartus II 14.1 functional simulation will not complete

Having successfully compiled and saved .bdf and set up waveforms for all of the inputs in a .vwf, I get what you see in the attached image (Windows 10, Quartus II Web edition 14.1). 

 

It completes the Modelsim Testbench, but doesn't complete the functional simulation netlist. No error, just stays like this forever. Output remains at xxxxxx, and I have to close the progress window to return to any Quartus windows.  

 

As a note: I had no problems with in Quartus II Web edition 9.1, although that version had me first run a functional simulation netlist before running the simulation. This seems to have changed, unless I'm mistaken, but I do not see the option for the functional simulation netlist anywhere in the menus. I hope it's something simple I'm missing.
