Hi,
I have a problem compiling the Altera Video and Image Processing Suite IP on my Window XP pro, when I logon Windows as a regular user. Other SOPC/VHDL stuff build ok. If I logon to an admin. account, the IP compiles ok. I have made a small test SOPC project with only the Clock Video In/Out and the Clipper IP cores, and found that a file in the /video_path_test/db/ directory called: alt_vip_clip_GNGUQEZO3B.vhd is 0bytes when compiling logged in as regular user, and 161400bytes when compiling logged in as admin. I suspect that somehow Quartus does not recognize my license for the IP cores when logged in as regular user, and produces empty files. This is strange, since viewing the "license setup" in Quartus shows excatly the same when logged in both as admin/regular user. The LM_LICENSE... enviroment / search path are also the same. I have tried copying the files from the /db/ directory made logged in as admin. to the /db/ directory when logged in as regular user, then the project compiles ok. The file is however encrypted, but I guess this is normal for the license type I got. Any idea for where to start digging for the solution? I can't just build my project logged in as admin. because I don't have network access when logged in as admin. BR PeterLink kopiert
