Quartus II Assembler Error

Hello,

I have a working Quartus II project with a NIOS II CPU. Due to some issues of the custom board concerning the JTAG chain, I cant use the USB Blaster to upload the software to the board.

Therefore I included the generated onchip_mem.hex in the SOPC builder to compile the software into the design.

While running the assambler I get the following error:

--- Quote Start ---

Internal Error: Sub-system: ASM, File: /quartus/comp/asm/asm_lab.cpp, Line: 1979

this->jiggle_signal_into_cache(signal)

End-trace

Quartus II Version 9.1 Build 222 10/21/2009 SJ Full Version

Does anyone have a solution or any suggestions ?

Thanks in advance .. !

Hi Alex,

I believe that this is a known issue with QII 9.1 and will be fixed in SP1.

I recommend that you file a service request with Altera and ask for a patch to address this issue.

Best regards,

Shawn

It should be fixed in 9.1 SP1 (release in early Feb). If you need 9.1 ASAP, I recommend that you request a patch through MySupport on altera.com.
