Hi while using Quartus 9.0 i have faced the following internal error.
internal error: sub-system: med, file: /quartus/edt/med/med_doc.cpp, line: 346m_number_of_words != 0
stack trace:
0x15daf : _dllmain@12 + 0x348f (edt_med)
0x37d8a : afc_editor_template::open_document_file + 0x35a (gcl_afc)
0x460b5 : afc_template_manager::open_document_file + 0x7d5 (gcl_afc)
end-trace
the Quartus II crashes as soon as we cancel the window. The error arrives when I try to read the contents of the embedded memory at a breakpoint in the simulation time.using processing> simulation debug > embedded memory I used to do the same in Quartus 8.0 but there was no such issues involved.Is it related to some settings in the software or a bug in the software itself. Is there any solution to this problem??? Please help!!!

Have you tried upgrading to quartus 9.1 or 10? If you are desparate for the simulator, you may have to drop back down to 8 as Altera no longer support it - they want you to use modelsim instead.
