Quartus Prime Design Software License

hi there,

we have lots of projects that are made using Quartus Prime Standard Design Software 15.1 and we want to purchase another license of  Quartus Prime Standard Design Software 15.1. Since we can only purchase latest prime (V 23.3) license, can we use the latest license that we purchase on the old version of software? is the license backwards compatible?

Welcome to Intel forum. My understanding is yes, Intel license is backwards compatibility. This means that a license is designed to work with earlier versions of a software. In other words, if a license is backward compatible, it is valid and functional not only for the current version but also for previous versions of the software.
