Hi everybody,
I need to generate an encrypted .pof file for Altera MAX 10 device. I have followed this document from Altera: https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/pdfs/literature/hb/max-10/ug_m10_config.pdf (https://www.altera.com/content/dam/altera-www/global/en_us/pdfs/literature/hb/max-10/ug_m10_config.pdf) I tried to follow the steps in section "Genarating .ekp File and Encrypt configuration file" (pag. 48) but in Quartus 16.0 Lite the "SOF Files Properties: Bitstream Encryption dialog box" (step 11) is not present. In my Quartus when I click on Properties of the SOF file I see only this: http://www.alteraforum.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=13235&stc=1 The question is: Why and how I can resolve the problem ? You're using the Lite version of the tool. I don't think it includes the encryption feature.

Hello,
I am using the Standard Edition, though 15.1.2 version and getting the same thing. I.E only option for 'compression' is shown and there's no option for 'Bitstream Encryption' available. My current configuration setting is - Internal Configuration - Single Uncompressed Image with Memory Initialization (256Kbits UFM) Do I need to upgrade to a newer version? Or am I missing some settings? Thank you,- Mark as New

Go to Altera -> Sign In ->mySupport -> Create Service Request and explain the problem. The support team will generate for you a license file needed to activate the encryption. And yes...very very slow.
