Reload a file automatically -> what settings?

Hi All,

Each time I change a file (RTL, etc) outside of the Quartus-II, a window pops up asking whether I want to reload it in Quartus-II.

What settings should I do so that the file will be reloaded automatically?

Thank you!

I am not aware of such a setting in Quartus.

I hardly use the quartus editor. I know Notepad++ has this feature.

No, I'm talking about Quartus-II Editor. How to make the files will be reloaded/updated automatically?

So you have the file open in Quartus, even though you're editing it elsewhere. Right? Then I'd expect you to see such a message. Make sure you don't have it open in Quartus (I'm not sure why you'd need to). There's no setting in Quartus, to automatically update a file - that's open in Quartus - that's been changed elsewhere.

Cheers,

Alex
