I know its not exactly a problem with SOPC builder, however I came here to ask if anyone has had a similar problem and ways to fix it.
Whenever I use the SOPC to edit a memory component such as DDR SDRAM Controller MegaCore Function (so far thats all i've tested) it throws a java error "Could not create the Java virtual machine." Any ideas as to how I'd fix the java so I can go about building my design?Link Copied

What version of Quartus are you using? What OS? I saw a bug like this in what was I think Q7.0, but has been fixed since then(Q7.2 is currently out).

I ended up downloading the latest version of Quartus (version 7.2) as I was running version 7.0, uninstalled the old version and installed the latest.
This is how I fixed the problem although thats one problem down, it would seem now it doesn't connect to the JTAG chain over the USB blaster and i'm starting to think this board I got as a sort of employee hand-me-down has had it; that or the USB blaster is on the fritz. Anyway, i'm tempted to format this computer and start from the very beginning; hopefully that'll have every single issue sorted out.- Mark as New

I am using Quartus 8.0, hope that SP1 can fix it.

hi,everyone.Recently I run into a problem when using SOPC_builder. When I add a new ptf (DE1's SRAM Control IP)into the SOPC system,it showed that Messagebox"An unexpected error occurred during Loading HDL Component:java.lang.nullpointerexception".May someone tell me what's wrong with Sopc_builder?Is the promblem result from QuartuesII(ver 9.1)or the SRAM ptf? PS:my OS is windows 7?thank you for replying~
