Hi all,
I am using a ALTERA USB blaster 2 as well as a Terasic Blaster to program Max10 as well as Cyclone10GX devices. I have made sure that the correct drivers for the same have been installed.
I have been having the issue that the either Signal Tap or the programmer works only once. For example, after I click on stop acquisition in Signal Tap, the "Hardware" is automatically disable and am not able to restart acquiring data again or even program the device again because it says Hardware (USB blaster) disable. See screenshots below.
This gets fixed automatically after I restart my computer but works only once before I have to restart my computer again. Can someone please help me solve this issue?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
more information needed. Is it development board or custom hardware? Is USB Blaster still there when you start Setup dialog again? If not, is JTAG server still running? If not, can it be restarted? (Enter "Services" in Windows Start) Is USB Blaster still visible in Device manager?
Is this happening both with USB Blaster II and Terasic Blaster?

Hello!
Thanks a lot for your reply. Below are the details you requested.
It is a custom hardware. The USB Blaster is not there when I start the setup dialog. Regarding JTAG server, I did not check if it is running or not. The USB Blaster is always visible in the Device manager.
This happening with both, the USB blaster II as well as Terasic Blaster.

Hi,
you can run "jtagconfig --serverinfo" and "jtagconfig" from command shell in quartus\bin64 to check state of jtag server and connectivity of programming adapters.
