Hi
I am new to quartus and now i have to do a university assignment using it. I was wondering if and how it is possible to make a block diagram block using an existing circuit that has been designed in a block diagram... i.e. take a circuit and make it into a block to save space/confusion thanksLink Copied

Here is something to try. I have created a block symbol (.bsf) from a verilog file and I I see in the file menu under create/update it looks like you can create an HDL file from the .bdf, then it may be possible to create a bsf from the HDL ... of course it may only be possible to recreate the same .bdf. Hoping it works or leads to something that will.

The function in the file menu under Create/Update - Create Symbol File for Current File. Of course, the intended input and ouput ports have to be placed before.
