Hi all
my question is not strictly an Altera issue, but I guess some people have encountered a similar problem. My company uses a floating license using LMtools application to run the server, and everything is working great. now we purchased a license for Orcad, and we want to use the same machine as server for this program (as floating license) I've tried to follow the "FLEXnet licensing user guide" and to run 2 servers on the same machine using the "lmgrd -c" command but I couldn't get the 2 servers to run at the same time. I also tried to play around with the LMtolls and make it run 2 servers\license files but I haven't figured out how to do that either. if anyone can help I would appreciate it. :) by the way: the designated server is running under windows server 2003 SP 2 the terminal(s) that are to connect are windows XP professional SP 3Link Copied

I believe you have two options:
1 - combine the license files for multiple products together. 2 - Create a service for each product. In the lmtools this can be done by changing the mode to "Configuration by services" rather than "Configuration by license file". Then you simply create a service for each product you want to run the license server for. Jake
