What is up with Quartus , using lates, on W11 ,
see in screen shot atatched,
the text in the background, is a web browser, quiet happy with windows resolution, font is very readable, whilst Quartus , seems to be hard fixed for a resolution of around 1920 by 1220
Is there a setting one has to fiddle with to make the console readable ?
or do I have to drop back 20 to a lower resolution monitor ?

I think there's an option to adjust font size in the Tools or View menu there.

Can you check on Tool --> Option --> Message (font).
Try to change the size, let me know if that is feasible.

One step forward,
under tools options in the IP parameter editor , I found this ,
so It seems I have to set font size in each tool. depending if Im working on the big screen or the laptop screen !
Uhm, unusual..

Understood.
Does that work for you? Changing the font as you mentioned.
I am not able to see the issue when using W11 with Quartus on second monitor.

Morning,
apologies, had problems with this Intel TFA to get into the forums,
Yes has success,
but as mentioned, if I change monitor resolution , end up with fonts all to big / small again.
where as program such as say "word" seem to have some method of knowing the screen resolution such that say a size 10 font is readable on both the high resolution screen and th elow resolution one.
Don't know how it works, Im a hardware person,
example.
I have here a 3840 by 2160 screen ,
my laptop has a 2496 by 1664 screen , but is much smaller, so Im guessing the dots per inch is around the same, or what ever the number is .
Seems in the Intel s/w , one has to go into each program and change the fonts to make it readable on each screen,
where as other programs , the fonts are readable on both,
don't know why this is is
having looked on line, seems a particular Intel thing
but
we are where we are,
thank you

Does this issue appear to other monitor as well?
If that's the case, you have to manually change the font as mentioned as workaround.

Yes @SyafieqS
It seems general "feature" of the Intel Quartus software, that unlike other windows programs, For each resolution monitor, one has to change the font size in the program .
As I'm moving between laptop, multi monitor and large monitors it is certainly noticeable.
Im not a sw engineer but I wonder why its just the intel code ?
I've not been using Altera / Intel code for about a decade, been on other fpga families, and this font bug is very noticable Intel related.
Thank you

Hi John!
I had the same Issue, I solved it going to the install folder, in my case: "intelFPGA_pro\22.2\syscon\bin"
Next doing the instructions on the following link for the file "system-console.exe":
I used System (Enhanced) on the last options, after that you can open the system-console from quartus or what I'm going to do is also create a shortcut from here so it's a little faster than opening quartus and then system console.
Hope this helps.
