read from ram and convert to hash (vhdl code)

hi friend;:) 

i have one ram 256x8 single port that include fields of address packet(ieee 802.3 , ip v4) network. 

i want read dns domain name from this ram of address 54 to 70 (this parameter is chageable) then convert this output to hash(any method) word for compare with blacklist. 

 

*language is vhdl code* 

 

any idea for this ?! 

 

how read chageable dns domain name from ram? 

how convert domain name to hash(any method)?
