system generation by SOPC builder

Hi 

 i am working on Quartus II v6.0. Lets say we made a design in HDL files and generate it with the help of SOPC Builder. If we want to make some modification in the design HDL files. Then we have to generate again a new system(based on modified HDL files) with SOPC Builder or SOPC components(already generated in SOPC Builder) can detect modification autometicaly from HDL files??   Thank You

As long as you don't change anything on your interfaces, you don't need to regenerate the SOPC pcoject, just to recompile your design in Quartus.
