usb blaster problem

Using cable "USB-Blaster [USB-0]", device 1, instance 0x00 

Pausing target processor: not responding. Resetting and trying again: FAILED Leaving target processor paused  hello everybody... above one is the problem i have faced in running the nios II ide using quartus II 7.2sp2....for the hello world example..pls help me to clear this...

the problem is not your usb blaster. but your nios system, that does not start up corectly. 

 check the the start up adress, reset's, memory , clocks and so on.

What hardware are you working with? Is it an Altera board or something you don't know is good to start with?
