[Agilex] Programming QSPI flash with .jic file always failed

repost here as this seems more like the right place.

We recently purchased two Agilex FPGA development board DK-DEV-AGF014EA (https://www.intel.ca/content/www/ca/en/products/details/fpga/development-kits/agilex/agf014.html).

We are currently exploring the GHRD provided by the rocketboard website. We are able to successfully download the FPGA .sof file with HPS SPL hex and see the print out from the HPS UART terminal. However, when we tried to program a .jic file to the flash, the Quartus programmer is able to successfully erase and blank-check the flash, but the flash programming of the .jic file always failed.

We double check the MSEL setting, and it is in the default AS x4 mode (MSEL[2:0] = 3'b001). Both boards behave exactly the same. We also tried to program the flash with a MSEL setting of 3'b111, but the same outcome.

Is there anything we miss here?

thanks for the help

Hi,

Please try to run the GSRD pre-built binaries given on the below link-

Topic-Running GSRD with Pre-Built Binaries for the DK-SI-AGF014EA Version

Link-https://www.rocketboards.org/foswiki/Documentation/AgilexSoCGSRD#Running_GSRD_with_Pre_45Built_Binaries_for_the_DK_45SI_45AGF014EA_Version

Let me know the status after trying.
