Dear All,
The Commercial License Agreement from Intel for SGX reads there is no fee for the license to be granted.
Why then have this Licensing process at all? Why have a remote attestation done from Intel Servers then? Can we have our own remote attestation done? The EPID protocol sounds complicated. What is Intel's purport with the Licensing?
Thanks,
Tina

This is a critical part to enforce security for Intel SGX enabled applications. Please take a look at this whitepaper https://software.intel.com/sites/default/files/managed/78/4a/overview-signing-whitelisting-intel-sgx-enclaves.pdf to see whether it helps you understand the process better and how it can help ensure the trusted environment.to run the Enclave in.
