Hello ronlee1030,

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. I understand how frustrating it can be when CCleaner causes Intel Unison to forget your phone connection every time you run it.

Kindly answer the following questions:

  • Are you using the latest version of Intel Unison?
  • Where did you download Intel Unison?
  • Are you running CCleaner in manual or automatic clean mode?
  • Have you done troubleshooting steps?

We look forward to your response!

Best Regards,

Yes I'm using the latest version downloaded from microsoft store.  I run CCleaner manually.  And I have no clue what troubleshooting steps there are to this other than seeing the connection gone on my laptop right after running CCleaner

I downloaded CCleaner from ninite.com but updated from CCleaner website.  I'm on the most up to date version.  The issue began immediately after cleaning out junk files from the point I installed unison which was right after installing CCleaner

Where is my phone connection info stored anyhow.  Maybe I need to add it to a list in CCleaner that prevents deletion somehow

Hello ronlee1030,

Thank you for the additional information. It seems that CCleaner may be removing certain files or registries related to Intel Unison's pairing information.

To prevent this from happening, please try the following steps:

-Open CCleaner and go to the Options Menu

-Select Exclude, then add Intel Unison's Folder or related files to the exclusion list so that they are not cleaned by CCleaner.

-Ensure that Windows Store Apps or anything related to app cache or registry cleaning is not affecting Intel Unison.

-After making these changes, try reconnecting your phone and running CCleaner again to see if the issue persists.

Kindly let us know if there are changes.

The folder for Intel Unison is located at C:\Program Files\Intel\Unison or C:\Program Files (x86)\Intel\Unison

We look forward to your response!

Hello ronlee1030,

Thank you for your response. Since it is located on the WindowsApps Folder, were you able to add Intel Unison to CCleaner's exclusions?

Entering C:\ProgramFiles\WindowsApps in CCleaner should exclude it from clean ups.

We look forward to your response!

Hello ronlee1030,

I'd like to suggest some additional troubleshooting steps for the issue you're experiencing. Please try the following and let us know the results:

Systematically remove all the checks in the settings of CCleaner, then add them back one by one to identify which setting is causing the issue.

Note: After our review, unchecking the “cookies” option for Internet Explorer in CCleaner should prevent Intel Unison from reverting to the setup page.

I added the appdata folders with intel apps into exclude checked settings and still nothing is it a registry key getting deleted perhaps.  Or is there anymore spaces for unison to store app data other than the user app data local folder
