MFSYS25 lost storage with local SAS disk

Hi.

I had a bad behaviour yesterday.

We have a MFSYS25 chassis, running with 3 servers and an external IBM SAS storage connected via a SCM module. The servers itself are booting from volumes based on this external storage. Yesterday, I inserted a 2.5" SAS disk into the chassis itself and while doing this, all servers lost the connection to the external storage. Inside the chassis dashboard everything looked fine. Servers and storage were in "OK" state with green icons.

Did someone had a similar behaviour, or where I can get more details about this scenario?

(local SAS disks inside the chassis, as well as a connected storage)

Regards,

Dennis

I haven't seen that particular problem, but two suggestions of the top of my head:

1) If you pull out that SSD, does the external storage come back?

2) Have you tried unassigning the external SAS from any server, saving changes, then reassigning it?
