I have a number of S2600CWTR boards .... these boards have two 7-pin SATA ports. What do you recommend for people that need more ... is there an add-on SATA controller that you recommend?

To answer your question, you can try using a add-on SATA controller but this type of card has not been validated from Intel so the chances it will work are 50/50. Most of our Intel server boards have two 7-pin SATA connectors so you can also check for different third party options in the market.
