Hi,
I need to have access to BMC to my S2600WF. Steps i have done:
1. Go to BIOS > Server Management > BMC LAN Configuration
2. Under Baseboard LAN configuration set static IP, subnet mask and GW IP
3. Under User Configuration , enable User2 as Administrator
4. Reboot
Then
Im accessing the IP with PC from the same network using browser but it shows The connection has timed out and tried via curl it returns
curl: (28) Failed to connect to 192.168.10.126 port 80 after 75006 ms: Couldn't connect to server.
Other attempts:
1. Access via IP does not work
2. ipmitool -I lanplus -H <IP address> -U <username> returns:
Error: Unable to establish LAN session
Error: Unable to establish IPMI v1.5 / RMCP session
Questions:
1. How to have access to the BMC?
2. I compared MAC address of mgmt port on server chassis tag with ipmitool output, both are different. chassis tag shows xx:xx:xx:75:23:b8 and ipmitool shows xx:xx:xx:75:23:ba . Why they're different?
3. How to upgrade BIOS and BMC from my server current version as guideline requires more recent version.
Versions:
BMC: 2.48.89B32E0D
BIOS: SE5C620.86B.02.01.0012.070720200218
