Will MKL use the ATI/nVidia GPU's

There is currently a lot of work being done with single-precision BLAS kernels (and FFT's) running on GPU's showing incredible performance boosts over running on the main CPU. I wonder if Intel is looking at incorporating this technology into MKL.

Yes, some of the claims have been incredible, and a fair comparison requires using a recentMKL for the main platform. As you know, Intel has a GPU hardware development program, involving a more friendly development system, but I don't think the plans for MKL are clear yet.

Well I suppose it is fairly easy to test as anyone can download CUBLAS (BLAS for GPUs). Of course its a very limited BLAS no double precision , complex etc....
