Hello sir, please tell me whether pardiso solver can run on more than one 8 cores machine or it uses only 8 cores what ever number of cores present in the machine. any processor where pardiso isefficient? Is there any other solver faster than pardiso?
PARDISO can be run on various numbers of cores, but not more than number of cores present in the machine. Number threads you can set via environment variable OMP_NUM_THREADS.
Internally PARDISO is based on BLAS3 and LAPACK routines
which are highly optimized for the all latest IA architectures( see the list of
all supported processors into Release notes)
