There is an interesting project called 'How Software Is Built'- which I enjoy reading. They did some video interviewing at OSCON when I was there - and it is now posted at http://howsoftwareisbuilt.com.
I was asked a bit about what I thought about open source vs. closed source projects - and what we went through changing TBB to an open source project. I'd be interested if people had any different observations or experiences from those I mention we had.
I did get asked about open source more from Intel - and I talked about the need to build community. So far - community is coming together around TBB - which is excellent! Let's all keep the activity with TBB rolling together!
