Dear IntelEMA Support Team,
I am considering publishing the Intel EMA management screen on the web and would like to confirm the type and quantity of certificates to be introduced.
I am considering the following uses, but do I need to purchase each separately? Also, how many certificates will be required for each?
- For the Intel EMA management screen
- For vPro devices
- For Web Application Firewall
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Hello SKubo,
Greetings!
You require a single SSL/TLS vPro Certificate chain for all EMA instances, including both the server and endpoints. This certificate chain needs to be installed on the EMA server.
The endpoints already contain the certificate hash of pre-authorized certificates. Therefore, you only need to configure the EMA profiles and perform the provisioning. No certificate actions are necessary on the endpoints side.
Additionally, the EMA website and WAF can use the same vPro certificate.
For more information on vendor certificates that support Intel® AMT, please refer to this link: Vendor Certificates to Support Intel® AMT.
Regards,
Vijay N.
