Just built a new computer featuring this DP55WD Mother Board and a quad core intell processor. For some reason when I try and boot with my Windows XP professional disk I get the blue screen of death. It never gets to the place where I can even format the hard drive. I have checked the bios settings and read the manual. The manual states that Under Advanced settings I can set the SATA drive. It is not as stated in the manual but the SATA drive is set to IDE.
Nothing else makes sense unless Windows XP Pro is not compatable with this chip set???
Can anyone help me with this delema???

Check if you need to load the CD driver and try XP with SP2 on the CD.
