Hi,

I have dq45cb mobo with 6GB RAM, 3*2GB, aquired it 2 days ago.

I have 1 HDD atached and 1 DVD drive.

I have enabled intel vt part in bios

If I set stay off in power for ac loos, than, mobo on power on turns on drives and fans, tnat after ~10 sec. turns off, waits 3-5secd and tnat cycles tnat, until I press power button, than it boot up.

If I set last state , than when I apply power through power switch on psu, the machine goes up.

But ih I hit shutdown in OS, the machine goes into reboot.

I didn't look at led's on mobo, but can somebody suggest any possible reason?

I will try to disconnect all power and led cables from fron side of the case, and test if the mobo acts strange then. Maby pins were labels wrong, can led connected where power switch should be cause similar problem?

Best regards

Milan

Hi Amossjr,

First of all, as I stated earlier, I must inform you that this community is solely dedicated to Intel vPro technology and your question here is typically intended for our Motherboards community so in case you have any queries in future related to Motherboards, you might want to post them there in order to get a prompt response.

As for your problem, I am not sure I am able to rightfully understand the mid-part of your post where you talk about POWER FOR AC LOSS though I know you are inquiring about Last State or Stay Off settings but what I fail to understand is, what exactly is the behaviour of your system. Kindly elaborate so we are better able to help you there.

As for the Reset, my friend you are most probably dealing with mismatched pin configuration here for the front panel header. You might want to revert to the Motherboard Integration manual that comes along and refer to Page 49 to see the pin configuration to properly connect the cables and resolve the problem. For your assistance, I am attaching the manual here. System resetting on pressing Start/Shutdown button is most probably cause of that.

As for BIOS settings for AC Power Loss, refer to the BIOS Glossary for DQ45CB here: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-020304.htm http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-020304.htm

Hope this helps. For any further queries, feel free to contact us and we'll be glad to help.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Greetings

I have solved my problem

I turned off intel ME, so motherboard was shutting down correctly

But with intel me turned off vmware esxi was not working corectly, so I turned on intel me, but now I set it up to stay off after power loss, so now I have no problem with intel me turning pc on, and after that bios turning it down, if I ser stay off in bios.

This is thje reason why I posted the question here.

Best regards
