Sir,
We found the ME driver package generated one more device under other device after update driver.
So there are two AMT SOL on the system (other device and com11).
Checked the both devices are using same ID.
Can you help to solve this problem?
Original system is Win10 + 2345.5.42.0 ME
Update ME to 2413.5.68.0 and then probelm happen.
Thanks.
Dennis

Hello DennisLee,
Greetings!
This appears to be a Windows internals issue best addressed by Microsoft. The way we understand is that when AMT SOL (Serial Over LAN) isn't fully loaded, it is nested under "Other devices." Once fully initialized, Windows assigns it a comms port and lists it under "Ports." For more detailed information, we recommend consulting the Microsoft Knowledge Base or forums.

Hi Suneesh,
I think it might not Windows internals issue.
I tried to launch ME driver package and through "repair" to install again.
This "other device" disappear from device manager.
Looks like system resource occupied by original one when new version install.
Because both devices have same HWID but link to different port/end-point.
It might need driver package to handle the whole install process (stop device or release resource before start install), not Windows system.

Hi Suneesh,
Yes, we can re-install package to repair and resolve the problem.
But this version package still have problem if we update another unit.
Maybe your team can help to check the package install method.
And help to provide better package on next version.
Thanks.
Regards
Dennis
