Reboot and the computer dies

This is a NUC 12 vPro with 64 GB RAM. I am just now getting it set up, to transfer my work to.

The computer always took a long time to reboot. It had been like five minutes, but now a reboot and the computer dies.

I get a brief Restarting... but then blank. After 20 minutes of nothing, I hold down the NUC's start button for 15 seconds, to turn the PC off.

Then turning the NUC on, and it boots in a little over a minute.

I tried Shut Down. The PC shuts down in about 20 seconds. Then turning the NUC on, and it boots in a little over a minute.

Why doesn't reboot work.
