Intel Matrix Storage Console RAID5 add 4th hard drive question

Unable to install 4th 1TB drive on RAID5 Normal system. On Modify Volume, Volume Capacity Expansion is greyed-out and is not able to be selected. Was able to designate 4th drive as a spare only. Also, took 24hrs to rebuild 3rd RAID5 drive on degraded RAID5 system. IMSC Ver 8.9.0.1023, i7 975 CPU, Win7 64bit P6T MB, 12Gb RAM. Is that normal? falk at investusa.net
