Hi there,
I have a dell Precision 3620 which clearly has the ME disabled.
It has the vPro tag in the back and the label "3" == ME Disabled inside the side cover.
In the boot menu, the Intel AMT option is missing.
in the bios, the MEBx shortcut is enabled but when I press Ctl-P or Ctl-M or Ctl-I, no AMT menu shows up during boot time.
I ran the Intel AMT Configuration utility, and it shows: 1) Intel AMT is supported , 2) it is not configured.
I have the latest BIOS I could find 2.20 and still no AMT option.
What are my options?
Can I flash an AMT firmware to fix this?
Thank you
Chahé

Why are you asking this question here? It is Dell that is providing this idiotic capability for disabling the ME and it is Dell who will have to help you with this issue.

Intel provides the AMT features and Dell is using it. It would seem Intel would know how it can be disabled and therefore provide a solution. The channels to discuss intel AMT are limited and Dell is of no help on this subject.
So, any suggestions besides going and knocking on Dell's door?
